A Haverhill, Massachusetts woman was grateful and relieved when firefighters reunited her with her cat at the scene of a fire at her home.
The woman told Channel 7 News she didn’t realize her house was on fire Saturday afternoon until two men came to her door and told her to get out.
The woman couldn’t find her cat and had to leave him inside when she fled the fire. She feels kitty got scared and hid.
She was overcome with emotion as firefighters found the cat and returned him to her.
“They are wonderful. I don’t have much left, but these guys mean the world to me,” the woman told Channel 7 News.
