A member of the public captured the moment in photos when a Florida animal officer rescued a kitten from a storm drain with the help of firefighters Thursday.
Polk County animal control officer Kamie Scarborough and a crew of firefighters from the Davenport Fire Department posed with the rescued kitten after the little one was brought to safety.
Polk County Sheriff’s Office posted the photos at Facebook Friday, writing:
“Thank you, Facebook fan Ramon Gonzalez, who sent us these photos of the Davenport Fire Dept assisting PCSO Animal Control Officer Kamie Scarborough, taken Thursday afternoon, April 30th. The team rescued a kitten from a drainage area on US Hwy 17-92. Together, we can make a positive difference!”
