Brockton, MA firefighters responded with crews from two ladders and four engines when a triple-decker apartment building caught fire early Thursday afternoon, and spent 90 minutes extinguishing the fire.

All of the residents escaped the burning building, along with several pets. As least nine people have been displaced by the fire. One woman was taken to the hospital with a minor shoulder injury.

Kaylee Chouinard’s cat Daisy was trapped on the 3rd floor as the fire, which is thought to have started in a second floor kitchen, burned. In the photo above, Brockton firefighter Jeff Morrison hands Daisy to Kaylee after bringing the cat out of the building.
