A Chicago family whose Savannah cat went missing 2,000 miles from home in La Jolla, CA has plastered the area with missing posters, hired a pet detective and offered a $5,000 reward. News coverage in the San Diego area has made this a high profile case.
While many of us search for our missing pets in near obscurity, the Fosco family’s effort has gone high profile, at least for now. Mike Fosco and his feline companion were visiting a friend when Ivy got out of the house and went missing in unfamiliar territory. Mike’s parents Paul and Linda Fosco flew out to California and are doing everything in their power to help find the missing cat, who they describe as a member of the family.
Mike and Ivy arrived in La Jolla a week ago Monday, and Ivy got out of the house the following morning. He has not been seen by anyone involved in the search for more than a week.
The pet search and rescue team hired by the family has brought in bloodhounds to try to locate the missing pet. San Diego Channel 6 news says the bloodhounds searched for six hours on Wednesday, ending up at the La Jolla Country Club where they were denied access and lost the scent trail.
Anyone with information is asked to call Linda Fosco at (847) 274—9701.
Hope you find IVy soon..i know the feeling…let’s pray she’s ok..
