Earthquake, Hurricane, Flood Survivor Kitten Yoda Still Waits for a Home

Adorable little baby Yoda lived with a cat colony in the field behind his rescuer’s office in Prince George’s County MD. The kitten was protected by the pile of doors he was nestled in when floodwaters submerged the colony’s habitat; then Yoda was fortunate to be taken in by Wayne Smith and Barbara Giddo. Wayne searched the field after the flooding with the intent of providing a decent burial for cats who did not survive the flood waters, and brought the little kitten to safety.  Barbara is a seasoned rescuer who has gone to work at the scene of major disasters like Hurricane Katrina and the Joplin MO tornado zone.

Yoda is safe and well cared for living with the couple, but they would like to find him a home. Despite a writeup in a local paper and our story Bedraggled Kitten Rescued: Survived Earthquake, Hurricane & Flooding here at feline-centric Life With Cats, plus a feature in the major news outlet The Washington Post, the cute little fuzzball is still waiting for someone to give him a forever home.

If anyone reading this wants to give Yoda that good home they can contact us via the Contact button at the top of this page and we will forward their interest to Barbara.

Thank you in advance to anyone who can either adopt this kitten or help share his pics and bio with cat lovers in the MD and surrounding areas. Yoda is a manageable drive away from parts of WV, VA, DE, PA and NJ as well as DC and MD.
