Tiny Dora was thrown from a moving car on a Dearborn MI highway, but the terrible incident changed her life for the better. Two men who witnessed the act stopped and rescued the frightened kitten, then gave her a good home where she will be safe and loved.
Livonia, MI residents Ronald Haas Jr. and Niel Rishoi reacted quickly when they saw Dora, the adorable 8 week old black kitten with the big, beautiful eyes, being tossed from a speeding car over the weekend. The kitten was trying to climb a retaining wall when the men rescued her. Neil wrapped her in his shirt to calm and comfort her, then he and Ronald brought her home to live with them and their Irish Setter Jennie. Dora appears to be unhurt but will visit the vet this morning for a checkup.
Note: The incident occurred fairly close to the Dearborm Animal Shelter. Ronald and Neil’s attention was so completely directed to the kitten who needed their help that they did not see the license tag number of the black Ford SUV from which she was thrown.
Thank you and may God bless you for taking care of and taking little Dora into your family. She will be forever grateful to you both. Whoever did this will get their just rewards.
Bless you a million times over for your quick thinking and showing that in the face of inhumanity, there are people like YOU that show human kindness! You are what makes this world good! Thank you for being a hero!!!!
I am so glad that those two men were there at that time. I hope that they live long and happy lives together.
How wonderful for little Dora, the 2 men who saw her thrown from a car were able to stop and rescue her from sure death on a freeway. She is a cutie, and the men and their dogs seemed happy to welcome the newest member of their family. A sweet ending for another senseless act of cruelty to a little kitten.
God bless both of these great guys !!
