A dog being taken for a walk found a cat and her two kittens, who were taped into a Doritos box and left at a park.
Gazette Live reported on the story, writing that the dog encountered the box with the little cat family inside at the entrance to Pallister Park in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, UK at 11pm on Monday.
The box was tightly sealed but when the dog tried to open it cries could be heard. The woman walking the dog then opened the box and found a tortie cat and her orange tabby kittens. Considering that the box was tightly sealed, the dog probably saved the little family’s lives.
Mama and her kittens are now in RSPCA care.
A spokesman for the animal charity said: “Fortunately in this case all of the cats have survived and are receiving much needed care with the RSPCA, but such other incidences are not so lucky.
“The RSPCA is seeing an increase in the number of animals being carelessly abandoned.
“Neutering and microchipping of pets is essential to reducing the epidemic of unwanted or lost pets that are finding themselves in the care of charities.”
It is thought that the cats were dumped some time earlier Monday night.
The RSPCA is seeking information on the case.
People make me so damn mad ! Those who do things so sick like this deserve to have the same done to them……
Karma do your job giving punishment to the cruel sociopath who taped this box up.
