Simba is only 13 weeks old, but he is already looking for a new home after his family’s landlord said he had to go. He came to the Arizona Humane Society on September 18, and is waiting for his forever home at the organization’s Sunnyslope location. He was made available for adoption yesterday, and there has already been some interest shown by potential adopters.

Simba was born with his front legs bent the wrong way, but he is highly mobile and comes with a little bonus … extra toes on his back paws.

Shelter staff say, “He is a great cat, super mellow, and will let you cradle him like a baby. He is great with cats and dogs and very easygoing.”

His adoption listing HERE says, in part:

-I get along with everyone I meet but will still need to meet your whole family before leaving the shelter
– I will need to go home with children 10 and up.

I came to the AHS because my previous owner could no longer care for me, so now I sit here hoping someone like you will come along and fall deeply in love with me! I am one special kitty. I was born with a deformity on both of my front legs. But don’t let this stop you I can get around just find..I actually hop! Please keep me indoors so then I can be kept safe and sound and so then I can become a true family feline! I would like to have a uncovered litterbox with clumping litter in it! I also like to have it cleaned daily! I am so sweet and I have a great temperment. If I sound perfect then come on down to the AHS and adopt me today! Ask about the Twice as Nice program so then me an my sister can go home together!

*Reason for Medical Release:Has deformity of both front legs. Walks on dorsal lateral aspect of paws.

*Long-Term Expectations:Will need to be indoor only. Make sure the skin does not become irritated. He tends to walk on his hind legs but balances on forelimbs. May have issues using some litterboxes if he has difficulty getting into and out of the box.

Simba is one of the cats being featured for adoption in the humane society’s Leave No Feline Behind campaign, that seeks to get cats and kittens into homes.  Adoption fees are waived in lieu of a reasonable donation. The program runs through the end of this month
