Louise Veronneau and her newly married husband, Dominic Husson, are both animal lovers. They had heard of the amazing work being done by Lynea Lattanzio at The Cat House on the Kings and thought it was the perfect place for their wedding. In a video by Fresno Bee journalist Craig Kohlruss, Lattanzio explains how, at first, she was opposed to acting as the officiant for their wedding, but acquiesced following much kind coercion to lead the ceremony. A second video, from Justin Sacher KSEE24, shows some of the fun behind the ceremony scenes.
The couple, from Montreal, Canada, asked family and friends in lieu of gifts to send donations to the sanctuary. The Cat House on the Kings website shares it is California’s largest no-cage, no-kill, lifetime cat sanctuary and adoption center. “Our mission is to place rescued cats and kittens into loving, permanent homes; to provide a safe, happy and healthy home for unwanted cats and kittens in a unique, no-cage facility; to prevent pet overpopulation through spaying and neutering; and to educate the public about responsible pet ownership.”
Here are two wonderful videos about The Cat House on the Kings and Lattanzio.
