Nicky’s life with cats takes place in rural North Texas where she lives with three cats, two rats, one dog, two boys and a very patient husband.
When Nicky is not driving her children from one activity to another, she enjoys photography, playing piano and guitar (beginner) and creating videos for the family and for competition. Nicky holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theater Performance which as it turns out only means she is an experienced waitress (a skill set that comes in handy when one has animals and children).
my cat can fetch, give 5, high 5, wave, walk on a leash, sit on command, hug (with me standing), hug with me sitting, turn left, turn right, open cabinets, open doors, and bow (without clicker training) he’s taught with voice commands
Great tricks! Very smart cat, and beautiful markings, too!!
Not only is he smart, he’s beautiful!!!!!
Such a sweet smart boy 🙂
The patience of a saint!
My cat can do these things…she just choses no to 🙂
Years ago I had a mutt Josey that I would tell her to sit up and all of the sudden my young cat Mittens came up and sat up! Ever since then she would sit up next to Josey. :o)
Seems like a bit much – I am only left wondering if that cat ever gets anything to eat without performing a trick first…
Our cats have learned hand signals for sit, lay down, and “sup” (head to hand bump), and know verbals commands. However, we’ve never tied their food to this, or used a clicker. I don’t know if they are training for a show or what, but I mostly felt sorry for the cat.

That’s why they call Bengals puppy cats, coz they’re amazingly trainable!
