A cats only veterinary clinic in Dublin is looking for a cat cuddler, and yes, it’s a paying job. Your resume should include feeding strays and being “a crazy cat person.”

The Just Cats Veterinary Clinic has posted an advertisement for someone with “gentle hands capable of petting and stroking cats for long periods of time,” someone who is “capable of cat whispering to calm the nerves of some of our in patients.”

These all sound like important qualifications, with preference given to the following: “an ability to understand different types of purring is a distinct added advantage in helping you secure this position with us.”

And they have a sense of humor: “We are an equal opportunities employer, however we do discriminate against dogs attending our veterinary clinic as patients.” Sounds like a great place to work. Pity the poor staffer who has to review the hundreds of applications.
