The cat and Peanut had a special relationship, filled with lots of back-and-forth hissing and barking. It was a ritual. At least according to the cat.
Seems there was only one area of contention, having to do with costumes. Was the dog, perhaps, too eager to please? And the cat no so much? Hmmmmm.
