Dolly and John Dicken heard a noise outside of the house.  Rushing to check, they found their cat, Max, had been shot with an arrow to the chest.  They rushed him to Riverlands Vet Clinic. The arrow, according to the Humane Society, was of the type typically used for hunting wild animals.

The alleged attacker, Cody Dupre, 33, neighbor to the Dickens, turned himself into the police following the issue of a warrant.

Eight-month-old Max is recovering, fortunate that the arrow didn’t hit any of his organs, which would have been fatal.  There has been a A GoFundMe site has been created to help the Dickens pay the veterinarian bills. Additionally, the Dickens received a citation for violating the St. Charles Parish Leash Law.
