When a female cat went into labor but started to have complications, she knew she needed help. The cat sat outside of a health center in Bitlis, Turkey, and meowed persistently for help. Luckily, the nurses heard the cat and let her into the center.
It didn’t take long for the nurses to realize that the cat was distressed and needed help. She was in intense labor but wasn’t giving birth. The nurses, trained in human care, knew that the case was beyond their expertise and called the local Tatvan Municipality Stray Animal Neutering and Rehabilitation Center in order to get help for the stray cat.
The cat is lucky that the vet was called; she needed and received a c-section, during which she gave birth to four healthy kittens. Both the mother and the kittens are doing well now, thanks to the mother cat’s persistence in getting help and the nurses who took action in summoning a vet.
