Volunteers looking to salvage personal items for a Saltillo, Arkansas resident hospitalized following the devastating tornado that struck the area in and around Vilonia Sunday night were greeted by a cat who came out from an overturned mobile home. Saltillo is located near Vilonia and Mayflower, and was also hit by the tornado’s destructive force.
Rescuers with the Humane Society of Faulkner County are on site in the disaster zones searching for missing pets and taking them to area locations where they can receive care and housing while they wait to be identified and reclaimed by their families.
