Cat Apps Dilemma: Get Kitty Her Own Tablet Or Let Her Use Yours

Finally, a way to get kitty off of your keyboard! Friskies is, for real, introducing 3 game apps for cats. The games can be played on a tablet or android phone.

Cat Fishing, Tasty Treasures Hunt, and Party Mix-up! are all simple games designed for kitty’s amusement and can be played on her iPad or android phone, or yours, for that matter. The shapes and movements are meant to appeal to kitty’s senses and impulses. She can bob and switch as she follows movements with her head and bat and attempt to grab with her paw.

Friskies has also announced an iPhone app called “Here Kitty Kitty” which will presumably have her running to you, or your phone, at the sound of a can of cat food opening, the rustling of the food bag and good old bird chirps, among other sounds.

These apps will be available for download soon. If you download them for your cats we’d love to hear from you on what you think and whether kitty has scratched the screen (Friskies says that won’t happen).

You can go to Friskies’ Games For Cats page and try out the games if you have an iPad tablet. We believe the games will be available for other tablets after a while, too.

Watch the video and see actual cats playing with the games.
