A cat named Kooky and a dog named Gracie, who don’t usually get along, are napping together now in an expression shared grief and remembrance for a recently deceased fellow pet.
Reddit user Kanadka shared the photo of the pair online earlier this week with this explanation:
“I had to put my dog Mauja down last Saturday. I didn’t think my other animals were missing her, and then this happened. Kooky and Gracie have never slept together before, but there they were last night, sleeping in Mauja’s crate.”
Mauja had to leave her loving family following a two year battle with cancer. While Mauja did not always occupy her crate, the other pets never went in it until her passing.
Kooky was very attached to Mauja, according to her family.
