A good Samaritan found one year old tabby cat Logan and seven year old Lola the Chihuahua walking down a Phoenix street together and took them to the Arizona Humane Society Campus For Compassion.

The cat and dog were separated and placed with their respective own kind … at first. Lola’s demeanor changed, and she was obviously disturbed at being separated from Logan. The two were brought back together, and according to AHS representative Bretta Nelson, “The minute we brought Logan back and reunited them the demeanor changed completely, she was very friendly and you truly can tell they were the best of friends.” Ms. Nelson said that when found, “These two were walking down the street together like best friends.” She continued, “We just don’t have the heart to see them apart so we were able to take our cat colony room which usually can house up to 5 or 6 cats and turn it into a sanctuary until they are adopted.”

AHS says that no matter how long it takes for the right adopter to present themselves, Logan and Lola will remain together and will only be adopted as a pair.
