The MSPCA frequently rehomes pets with special needs, but Giselle the Munchkin Cat might be their most challenging case yet. You see, Giselle is blind and suffers from joint and nerve pain. Weighing just 2.5 pounds, Giselle came into the MSPCA in Boston covered in mats and suffering from a lung infection.
After being turned into the MSPCA on September 13th, Giselle received top-quality care to bring her back to good health. Giselle has recovered wonderfully and is ready to find her adoptive home. However, she’s a special needs cat with some specific requirements which make finding that perfect home a challenge.
Giselle needs the following:
- A single story home; she has trouble getting around.
- A regular routine so that she gets her medications on time.
- Other household pets to keep her company.

The MSPCA has created an Instagram page chronicling Giselle’s recovery. Hopefully some media magic will reach the perfect owner with Giselle’s story. If you’re interested in Giselle, email the MSPCA at [email protected].
