Rescued by a women who found her wandering an apartment complex and suffering from third degree burns, it seems animal cruelty knew no bounds when it came to this poor cat.   One look at that sweet little face it is hard to imagine the horrors she endured at the hands of individuals with no sense of moralistic behavior.   After surviving what appeared to officials to be either use of a blowtorch or a lighter to the head, Blossom has recovered, exhibiting great resilience, and has a brand new forever home with her new cat mom, Sherry.

Her foster mother, Humane Society of North Texas’ (Forth Worth) clinical service manager Lori Sanderson, stated that for all her antics and activity, save for the scars that will be a lasting memory of all though which she has gone, one might never know Blossom survived such a horrible experience.

Although Blossom has a new and loving home, HSNT is determined to see the person(s) who perpetuated such a heinous crime be brought to justice and for information resulting in the arrest and conviction is offering a $7000 reward.  Contact the humane society’s investigations department at (817) 332-4768, Ext. 113, or email [email protected] with any leads or information.

Blossom, and animals like her, rely and need our guardianship against those who will wreck havoc on them for sadistic pleasure.  For those who love and care for animals this is an on-going battle, but when small victories are won we are all the better for it.
