A grumpy cat paved the way to fame, followed by a zen cat, a pompous cat, an angry cat and several adventurous cats. Now there’s a new fetching feline on the scene, and he looks worried all the time. No need to fret about Bum’s state of mind, however. He’s got a great life, his owner, Courtney Morman told ABC News. Bum is “actually super silly and happy,” said Morman.

“He just has perpetually crossed eyes,” Morman, 24, told ABC. “His eyes and lids are also shaped a little funny, but other than that, he’s totally fine. He’s been seen by a vet and nothing is wrong with him.” She thinks that Bum has “sharp vision” because he “loves to catch bugs and chase down toys.”

Britain’s Daily Mail hailed him as “Instagram’s Newest Cat Celebrity.” According to the Daily Mail, Bum and his litter mates were brought into the San Diego Humane Society’s Kitten Nursery, where Morman works. It is the only program that provides 24-hour care underage kittens. Life with Cats recently shared a video that shows what goes on in the Kitten Nursery, where Bum got his start and found Courtney Morman. Courtney bonded with Bum and decided to adopt him. She named him after San Francisco Giant’s pitcher, Madison Bumgarner, on the day the team won the 2014 World Series.
