A little kitten is now safe and in foster care after being rescued by firefighters following a five mile ride in a car’s wheel well.

Bryson – dubbed Bryson the Brave – was rescued by a firefighter-paramedic with the Lakeland, Florida Fire Department and went into foster care with the Florida SPCA after being checked out by their vet staff.

The Lakeland Fire Department shared the story at Facebook Monday, writing: This morning Firefighter Paramedic Daniel Ivancevich pulled this kitten from the wheel well of a car. Bryson the kitten survived an almost five mile ride before the driver stopped and realized the kitten was there. Daniel then took the kitten to the SPCA where it is now awaiting a loving family to adopt him.”

SPCA Florida posted Bryson’s portrait photo to Facebook, giving thanks to the fire department for rescuing him and saying he is in foster care with the SPCA.
