A week ago we published Chariman Waffles: Special Kitty Ready For a Home After Facial Surgery, about an “adorable, playful and affectionate” kitty in the care of the Michigan Humane Society who had been found as a young stray with a severely disfigured mouth area and had been given three surgeries to repair the damage. Chairman Waffles is thought to have tried to eat something that caused the chemical burns.

Chairman Waffles bonded with Mr. Burns, another special needs kitty, in foster care. Mr. Burns has a lifelong condition that causes him to sneeze a lot and have mild nasal and ocular discharge. MHS announced last week that the two cats were ready for adoption and the organization hoped they could remain together.

Lifelong cat lover Dawn Zifilippo has adopted the two cats.
