Artist Takes Recycling to a New Level With Homemade Hats of Cat Fur

Ryo Yamazaki, who lives in Tokyo, is causing a sensation after making hats for his three Scottish Fold pet cats - which have folded ears - made from their own fur

A Japanese photographer who makes hats for his three cats out of their own fur is proving an internet hit

Cats have fur.  And some cats that leave that mark everywhere.  Of course, there are items you can purchase to remove said fur from furniture, rugs, and clothing (particularly black clothing), like hair rollers or good old fashioned tape, but some people have taken that to a whole new level. Like photographer Ryo Yamazuki who has found a creative way to turn fur into fashion forward couture for said cats, collecting is up after each brushing.  Talk about sustainability!

Mr Yamazaki has more than 41,000 followers on Instagram, with many praising him for his hat-making skills
