So, what does a cat born without a pelvis and hind legs do when he’s got an itch on his head? In Anakin’s case, he gets a little help from Mom, then goes back to playing.
Anakin’s rescuer and guardian, Carrie Hawks, writes:
“I am often ask what Anakin does when he has an itch on his head or behind his ears. Either he will rub his paws over his head till it goes away or we will scratch it for him. This video shows how we know Ani has an itch. Under the cat condo he starts shaking his head. Then as he runs to the kitchen you’ll see him turn his head to the side and put his ear back. This means he has an itch. So I scratch his head for him till he feels better. Then he runs off to mess with Trixie LOL!
‘Ani is a two legged cat, born without a pelvis or back legs but that doesn’t stop him. He is full of love & life! My family and I rescued Anakin and I am caring for him. My family and I are lifelong animal lovers and will give Ani the absolute best possible home, love and care.”
