The recent wildfires in McMurray, Canada forced more than 100,000 people to evacuate, leaving their homes behind. Many of these people turned to the Canadian airlines to help them get to safety.
But many of these people also had to bring their pets with them. Many Canadian airlines bent the rules about pet travel, allowing pets to ride in the coach sections of the planes.
The Scott family had brought their cat, Meow Meow with them. But when Ms. Scott went into labor, they needed a place to safely keep the cat while the family traveled to the hospital. That’s when the Canadian North Flight Operations team stepped up to the plate.
The team allowed Meow Meow to stay in their office for a few days until the Scott family was ready to take her back. Meow Meow settled right in and quickly became popular within the office. She was given a name tag and the airline employees posted photos and updates of Meow Meow’s adventure on their Facebook page.
Meow Meow was safely reunited with her family in Calgary. It looks like she had quite the adventure during her time with the airline!
