Ginger cats have been going missing across Britain, and their owners are blaming their disappearance on the recent release of the movie A Street Cat Named Bob.

The movie was released on November 4th and focuses on how a recovering drug addict and homeless man’s life is transformed by a stray ginger cat named Bob.

Since the movie’s release, multiple ginger cats have gone missing, including several cats within the same neighborhoods. The owners report that their cats have never wandered off before, and the fact that all of the cats are ginger cats, paired with the timing of the movie’s release, raises suspicion.

If people are indeed stealing ginger cats because of the movie, it’s a complete shame; there are plenty of shelter cats looking for new homes, and many of them are likely ginger cats.
