There’s a mystery in Frauenkirchen, Austria, as 52 cats have gone missing recently, and no one’s sure just why. It appears that the cats have been stolen over the period of a few months, and the cats’ owners fear that their cats have been killed or tortured.

Some of the missing cats have returned, sporting injuries. But they’re not your average injuries – some are consistent with being caught in an animal trap, while others are the types of injuries that would result from a blow of some sort.

Local authorities are investigating the situation, and hopefully they will discover an answer to the disappearances soon.
