The Facebook page Missing Pets in BC helped reunite Aspen with her grateful petmom after 2 1/2 years.
Aspen was found on November 20 in Maple Ridge, BC Canada when she started hanging around the home of Cheryl Cairns. Cheryl took photos that were used in a poster shared online at Missing Pets in BC. Cheryl wrote: “Have been feeding for a few days. She has been sleeping on back deck. No tattoo. No collar Very friendly.
Will be bringing to Maple Ridge SPCA next week.”
Aspen’s petmom Amanda Grieve saw the poster online and, after confirming that the found cat was hers, was reunited with Aspen on November 23.
Amanda’s stunned reaction when she saw her long-missing cat’s photos online played out over a couple of minutes in the comment thread:
“OMG!!!”
“I think this is my baby, she has been missing for 2.5 years”
“OMG?!!”
“Can u please take another picture? And pm me ASAP please.”
‘OMG… It’s too late to call u! I’m flipping out. ….”
