Crazy About Cats Facebook page owner/admin and VOKRA (Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association) volunteer Irene shared this darling photo with us and the rescue story that goes with it.

The four kittens rescued from a car engine before they got hurt – or worse – were also rescued from the rough life they’d have as ferals, and are now becoming socialized thanks to their caregivers.

The kittens were rescued on Christmas Eve from a vehicle engine in Surrey, B.C., Canada. VOKRA was called to help when the residents heard the kittens, then discovered them in the vehicle before they set out on their journey. The kittens were feral but are taming up nicely.

In the photo they are curled up together in a cookie tin. The photo is from Boxing Day (December 26), two days after their rescue.
