Rikki’s Refuge Animal Sanctuary in Rapidan, Virginia shared a very sweet video showing interspecies friendship on Saturday, with one of their resident cats cuddled up to and grooming a new lamb. You can see another cat cuddled with the lamb on the right side of the screen.

You may have seen the news in recent days, that the peaceful harmony of Rikki’s was disturbed by a murderous crime that killed a beloved Emu named Mary and sent Mary’s friend Beau the pig into a depression that caused him to have to see the vet. Rikki’s is deeply shocked and saddened by the crime and is offering a $5,000 reward for information about the shooter. Rikki’s wrote about the crime and shared a remembrance of Mary in a blog post HERE.
