In this week’s video shelter news report, the Edmonton Humane Society features the adoption of Chicago Joe and Boxcar Wilhelmina, the “Boxcar Kittens” who were found after making a train trip between Chicago, IL and Edmonton, AB sealed into a freight car last month.

Fittingly, their adopter is a railway employee.

Also featured is a Chicago resident who was touched by the kittens and the plight they endured on their journey, and who sent food, toys and cash donations for them to EHS.

EHS writes:

“Meet the couple who adopted our “Boxcar Kittens” and hear from a Chicago woman who has become our new pen pal and new Edmonton Humane Society donor in light of the story, on “This Week at the EHS”. Catch the video now!”
