Found wandering the streets of Altadena, CA, a 29-pound Himalayan mix, affectionately called “Chubbs,”  has found a new forever home after being put up for adoption by the Pasadena Humane Society.
“Something about his weight and his size has stimulated the whole world to contact us and give him well wishes and to really fall in love,” Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA President Julie Bank told ABC7.

Chubbs is going home with Yvette Viola who fell instantly in love with the big boy after learning about him. She recently lost her 23-pound cat, Mushu, whom she adopted 14 years earlier from the same organization.”I didn’t want to adopt a cat at all because I was letting myself grieve but then this guy came on TV,” she shared and it appeared to be fate. The good news is Chubbs’, who has already lost two pounds after going on a diet, somewhat celebrity-status has brought attention to the organization helping other animals find their own forever homes.
