Good pet owners take great care in making arrangements when they need to leave their animals for any length of time. And, certainly, a pet sitter or two has been given a fair share of instruction as to how to best get along with Sylvester or Felix. Still, one daughter found her mother’s preparations a bit extreme.

“My cat sitter enjoyed the bios! She has taken care of my cats before. I wrote the bios last year and she requested that I leave them again for her this year,” Gail Burgess told the Press Association.  She wanted to make sure her cat sitter, who has watched Jack, Cooper, Lucy and Pootydoots before, had all the intimate details she needed, adding, “I wrote the bios because four cats can be a bit overwhelming. It makes life easier for her if she knows their quirks,”

“She also enjoys the company of Lucy and Cooper. But not Jack. Jack loves her but the feelings are not reciprocated. (Jack is) not the world’s smartest cat but he’s good looking with stunning blue eyes. He’s endearing.”

Seems this plan of action works well for all involved, even if her daughter seems to find the depths of her mother’s preparation amusing.

  1. it’s completely normal to describe your cat’s character and habits for a catsitter. it’s helpful for both parts (the cat + the sitter) and by no means extreme.
