Families that knew the timing was right to bring a new dog, cat, puppy, or kitten into their home for Christmas teamed up with Nate’s Honor Animal Rescue to have “elves” deliver the new addition to the family just in time for the holiday.
“All of our elves said it was the best Christmas ever to be able to be a part of it,” Nate’s Honor Animal Rescue ‘s Executive Director Dari Oglesby told Fox 13 about the Manatee County (Florida) program. Some of the puppies and kittens that were delivered had been rescued from kill shelters or brought in as orphans.
The unique fundraiser gave families the opportunity to purchased special packages that included the adoption, Christmas delivery, and other goodies to help everyone get off on the right paw.
