When two officers heard a plaintive cry coming from a patrol car at their Florida Highway Patrol headquarters, they didn’t hesitate to act quickly. Lifting the car hood, they found a five to six-week-old grey and white kitten tucked between the engine and sand belt.  After carefully moving some of the car’s mechanisms, it was safely removed.

Dubbed “Siren,” Highway Patrol Duty Officer Deanna Stanley, adopted the rescued orphan who will soon join her other four cats after visiting the veterinarian for a check-up.
