Ralphie is just one of the many distinguished alumni of Gabby’s Barn Cat Program in Teton Valley, Idaho. Many of these cats are just gorgeous. Cat lover Gabby Graves is on a mission to trap and neuter local barn and town cats, and sometimes she also finds homes for the friendly ones, like Ralphie here.

She trapped Ralphie outside a restaurant. He had a serious ear mite problem and needed some basic vet care.

Because he was such a lover, she was able to place him in a good home where he spends his days outside with the horses. “He has such a great life ahead of him,” Graves told the Teton Valley News, which ran a feature story about Graves. She has helped many local cats. You can see their photos on her Facebook page.

“My hope is to see the number of homeless kittens produced this spring go down,” said Graves.

She has fixed 72 cats since she launched the program in August of 2016. Graves humanely traps the cats, then releases them. She receives donations via Paypal and from PAWS of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, according to the article in the Teton Valley News.

“It is called Gabby’s Barn Cat Program but there are a lot of people who are very important to me and have helped me in many ways to make all of this possible,” said Graves. You can learn more about her work on her Facebook page, Gabby’s Barn Cat Program.

Her goal is to create an established release site where people can feed and look after feral cats.
