Pet lovers in Shreveport, LA, do it right when it comes to sharing Mardi Gras with their pets as was seen in the 2017 Krewe of Barkus and Meoux Parade.

In what could possibly be dubbed the most adorable Mardi Gras parade ever, both animals and their owners showed up in style to strut their purple, green, and gold stuff.

In addition to the parade, there were booths featuring a variety of pet products, as well as many rescues and rescue-related efforts. Shreveport Bossier Animal Rescue, one of two cat-only rescues in the area was represented, as well as Sheri Lynn’s TNR, which operates a successful Trap-Neuter-Release program that is growing in leaps and bounds.
