Taco is an 8-month old tripod rescue kitty who lives with another rescue cat, a four-year old named Button.

Taco lives a relatively normal life and has adapted to being a three-legged cat, with only one front leg. He does face some minor challenges, and his petdad has made this cute video to show those challenges and give advice and support to other amputee-pet owners.

Taco’s petdad Phil writes: “Taco was in an accident when he was only a few weeks old. The rescue took him in and the vet amputated his severely damaged leg. After a few months recovering at a foster home he chose to adopt us!

“We want others to know that losing a kitty leg doesn’t have to be a massively life changing thing. Our 10 things you need to know about 3 legged cats video is both fun and educational.”

  1. We have Hopper.. he’s about 2 and only has 1 front leg and he lives a perfectly normal cat life, running atoms like a maniac at all hours, terrorizing the other 2 cats, agreeing furniture, jumping on the counters while we are cooking, etc. The only thing we haven figured out is how to walk him.. he Really really wants outside when we walk the doggo. And for litter boxes we use large bins worth lids.. and he sits on top. Staring at us while he does his business. Life would be dull (and much quieter) without him. ♡
