Together, an eyewitness and a caring veterinarian have rescued and saved a little kitten in need of help.
A Good Samaritan stopped and scooped up a kitten that witnesses saw being tossed from a moving car in Spokane, Washington on Thursday, then took the kitten to get him some much needed help.
The rescuer took the little injured kitten to Dr. Tami Boettcher at Pet Savers low cost spay and neuter clinic.
“All she saw was the kitten come flying out the window. She was just flabbergasted,” said Boettcher.
The kitten, weighing just over a pound, sustained severe eye trauma and a broken leg.
Dr. Boettcher put a splint on the kitten’s leg and says she believes he will recover from the traumatic event. She is keeping the kitten at home with her so she can give him round the clock care.
As is often the case in these situations, the rescuer was so focused on saving the kitten she did not get a good description of the suspect or his tag number.
Members of the public who wish to donate toward the kitten’s care or give him a good home are directed to call Pet Savers at (509) 924-7826.
