Liberty the Feline Blood Donor Needs a Forever Home

Thanks to donor cats like Liberty kitties in need of a transfusion are able to get a second chance at life and love. Now it’s Liberty’s turn for a life and love of her own.

Liberty is an 8 year-old female, currently residing at the Hudson Valley Humane Society in Pomona, NY. She is also responsible for saving the lives of hundreds of cats thanks to her past service as a blood donor.

Liberty has been with the HVHS for the past three years and, although a staff favorite, now that she has retired from her lifesaving role she deserves a home to call her own. Liberty is described as being affectionate and people-friendly but, due to a dominant streak, would do best as an only-kitty. If you think you can give Liberty the loving home she’s due, please call the shelter at (845) 354-3124. Contact your local vet or nearest veterinary college if you would like more information about pet blood drives in your area.

  1. Liberty-thank you for all you’ve done for the other kitties. Without you, they might not have lived through their problems. I hope you find your furever home soon, where you can play and romp around. Thank you again, sweetie!
