A video slideshow by Lori Fusaro of Fusaro Photography,  set to Sugar Ray’s Fly, documents the Wings of Rescue airlift of hundreds of Los Angeles area dogs and cats on Friday, December 7. The animals were transferred from high kill California shelters to safety in Washington, Oregon and beyond.

Last Friday’s airlift moved many but not all of the dogs and cats. There will be a flight on Monday and another next Friday.

Wings of Resce says, “Approximately 350 rescued dogs and cats will be flown to safety by our volunteer pilots to receiving rescues and adopters in California, Oregon, Washington, Montana, Arizona and Idaho!!”

Most coverage of Friday’s lifesaving flights focused on the dogs, but some cats and kittens were saved, too.
