A woman caring for a stray cat called the Michigan Humane Society when the cat came back for a feeding one day missing part of a leg.
A MHS rescue team went out to get the kitty and brought him to the shelter’s veterinary service for care. Vets recommended that the rest of TJ’s damaged leg be removed. He is recovering from the amputation surgery and will spend some time in foster care before going up for adoption into a good home.
Thanks to helping hands, TJ will go on to a new and better life.
There is no indication that TJ was injured in an animal abuse situation. He is presumed to have suffered an accidental injury or an animal attack.
