Six shelter kittens from the Edmonton Humane Society in Edmonton, AB were transported up to the Northwest Territories SPCA where kittens are in short supply.

While dog transports between shelters and rescues is common, the widespread overabundance of cats makes their transport far less routine.

These six kittens are the start of a trend between EHS and their partners.

  1. I’m happy they’re doing this, but not happy about how the kitties are being tranferred by plane. I think that is cruel and in humane to put animals into the cargo area of a plane. It is traumatic and many animals die in the process.
