“Get me outta here!” said Niko the cat – in essence – while making a dramatic leap to the top of the Kitty Corral enclosure at the shelter and sitting on top of it while plotting his further escape.
Niko did get out of the shelter. He was quickly adopted by a family who will surely not find him a dull companion. We predict he will keep them on their toes.
The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region in Colorado posted a video and wrote about Niko’s antics at Facebook on August 24: “Niko (adopted yesterday!) wasn’t willing to sit around and wait for his new home. He climbed right out to say hi in person! No wonder this smart boy got snatched up by a lucky family over the weekend. Way to go, Niko!”
