A cat was reunited with his family following a TV News story on a feline overload at the local animal shelter in Clermont County, Ohio, and the TV station had a big part in the happy occurrence.

Wednesday, June 24, WKRC Local 12 reported on 65 cats from one owner that were rescued by Clermont to the Rescue at the Clermont County Animal Shelter. During the broadcast of that story Local 12 showed a picture of a missing cat named Thor, who belongs with Wilma Taylor and her family. Staff at the Clough Pike Veterinary Clinic saw the story, recognized Thor as having recently been brought into their practice, and called Wilma. Thor was reunited with his family one day before he would have been put up for adoption. As a show of gratitude, Wilma’s daughter is going to adopt another cat from the Clermont County Animal Shelter so Thor will have a brother or a sister and the shelter will have one less cat to rehome.
