A young cat who crossed the Golden gate Bridge in the engine compartment of a van is waiting for her family to come forward and claim her.

This beautiful 8 month old kitten hitched a ride south from Marin County, California to Santa Cruz yesterday when she jumped up into the engine of a van parked overnight at a Mill Valley McDonalds.  The driver heard meowing and pulled over at a gas station, where kitty was found under the hood. She is wearing a blue studded collar with a bell, but has no identification. The Santa Cruz Animal Shelter contacted the Marin County Humane Society yesterday, and is reaching out to the public, hoping to reunite kitty with her family.

Anyone recognizing this kitty is asked to call the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter at 831-454-720.
