Kami and her newborn kittens were rescued from a work site and have had the good fortune to go into the care of a wonderful rescue organization and one of their foster families.
Kami and her babies were rescued last week and are in residence with VOKRA foster volunteers Doug Brown and his wife Sharon.
The little cat family arrived over the weekend and Mum Kami was still scared and unsure of her surroundings when Doug made the vlog video below, which tells their story and introduces viewers to the new fosters.
Doug wrote at YouTube: “Kami’s kittens were born on Canada Day (July 1st) in the sandblasting area of a machine shop in New Westminster BC where someone discovered them and called VOKRA – The Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association. After being rescued the family was checked over at VOKRA’s ops center and after seeing their photos and story on one of VOKRA’s Facebook pages we decided to foster them. Kami is only about a year old (this is probably her 1st litter) and thanks to the kindness of strangers and VOKRA’s rescuers Kami & her kittens will now be raised in a save and loving environment.”
