A cat in Boston, Lincolnshire UK has become a shop regular in the local branch of the Pets at Home store.
Store employees say Graham arrives bright and early in the morning and waits at the door for the 9am opening, and he has built himself a little fan base of both staff and customers.
Graham has been visiting Pets at Home for the past few months, and he stays for hours at a time. He is welcomed by store staff, who give him treats and play with him, using toys that are not for sale.
Graham settles down for naps in the shop’s cat beds when he isn’t wandering the aisles.
As we see in the video below, small critters behind glass provide entertainment for the visiting orange and white cat.
“He first showed up around three months ago and he’s here most days,” said staff member George Tarbox, in a feature in the Boston Standard. “Initially we discouraged him from coming in, but he kept coming back. We thought it wouldn’t be very good to keep shooing him out as pets are always welcome at Pets at Home, it’s just that they usually come in on a lead with their owners!”
“We have caught him chewing on a packet of cat food before, but he’s generally no trouble and likes to sit and watch the rodents, dragons and fish we have in store,” George added. “He’s become a bit of a celebrity too as we often have customers asking where he is.”
Pets at Home Boston staff commented at the pet supplies chain’s Facebook page, saying another cat from their store named Miguel also deserves fame, along with Graham.
