10 Lives Club Cat Adoption Group of North Boston, New York recently took responsibility for an injured stray cat brought to them in rough shape due to his having a wire wrapped tightly around his belly. Thanks to their efforts, he is expected to be fine, and to go up for adoption.

The 10 Lives Club vet was able to remove the wire with cutters borrowed from a nearby auto shop, so now healing can begin. Boston, as the cat is now called, will need dental surgery to repair damage done as he tried to chew through the wire to free himself.

Despite great cost, the group says that helping Boston is well worth it. Sharon Fisk notes that Boston has a trusting nature despite his ordeal, which is believed to have come from an intentional act.

In addition to their website (link above), the group also operates a Facebook page.
